NFPA 1901-03 has changed the way you are permitted to mount SCBA units in your emergency vehicles. The new standard is shown here. Walkaway® brackets with spring clips will no longer meet the new standard and may not be used in crew areas.

You may still purchase spring clip style brackets, but they may only be used in side compartments or in stationary applications.

Only the "Load & Lock" style WALKWAY® bracket may be used in crew areas. This bracket is available in two ways:

1. Knock-down bracket (KD-ULLH) requires assembly in the field. Each bracket consists of a backplate, short footplate, two seats, "Load & Lock" strap assembly, and cautionary labels. All hardware is included and assembly should require a few minutes time with a Torx T-30 driver and 7/16" wrench.

2. Assembled bracket (ULLH) is pre-assembled and ready for mounting in your application.

Spring clip style WALKWAY® brackets are available in two ways:

1. Knock-down brackets requiring assembly in the field. This is the most economical way to purchase a WALKAWAY bracket. All hardware for assembly is included, and assembly should require only a few minute times with a Torx T-30 driver and 7/16" wrench. Knock-down brackets are available in 4 ways:

• KD-UN : Standard coating on clips
• KD-UH :High Cycle coating on clips
• KD-LP :Low Profile clips
• SC-50-H: Scott Air Pak bracket

2. Assembled brackets. Clips (2) are permanently affixed to the universal backplate (positioned as required.) Bracket it ready to be mounted and is available in two ways:

• UN : Standard coating on clips
• UH : High Cycle coating on clips
